Dentures remain one of the most popular ways to replace missing teeth. Long-lasting, durable, and cost-effective, dentures offer patients a way to replace missing teeth.

What are dentures?

Dentures are removable false teeth that can be used to replace up to a whole arch of teeth, or in some cases, several teeth that are missing or severely damaged. These are known as either ‘full’ or ‘partial’ dentures.

What is the treatment process like?

At a consultation we assess your overall oral health and help determine whether dentures are the right treatment for you, a bespoke treatment plan is written. We then take measurements, impressions, X-rays, and photographs of the mouth if needed which will be used to make a trial model of your dentures.

With the model, we are able to make sure the fit, comfort and bite of your dentures are all correct, and once you are happy with it, the model will be used to make your personal dentures. Once the personal dentures are ready, you can come back into the practice to have them fitted.

How do I care for my dentures?

Dentures do require a little extra care and attention to ensure they last a long time and are kept clean and hygienic. They should be removed to sleep at night, unless otherwise advised, and brushed with a soft or special denture brush. We also recommend soaking in an antibacterial solution, we will be sure to go through your after-care and on-going care needs at your appointment.

The reception staff are always friendly and efficient as are the dental team. My last visit was a check up. I didn't need treatment but the dentist gave me a clean up removing any build up the electric tooth brush and tooth pick failed to remove. All done in 15 minutes. I would highly recommend this dental surgery, I have been a patient on their books for over 10 years.

Nuvo Dental + Implant Centre is my regular place to visit for all of my dental needs.
